Once more I walk down this road, My thoughts spinning, head drowsy. I’ve been here many times before,
The path still well worn with memories, That still haunt my dreams.
Looking down the tree lined path, I see my destination. But the path keeps changing, And the simplicity of three steps changes, To three miles.
The destination stays, A place of warmth and future, Rarely does it change.
But the path is ever moving,
Like the water rushing through the mountain streams when spring comes.

I walk alone, On the broken road of justice. I follow a path, That most daring follow.
The trials of compassion, Following my every move. I move forwards, But for each step I take the leads me forwards,
I end up taking two steps back.
And so the dance continues, A lonesome dance of one. The only beat, Is the sound of feet treading down the road.
Companions have come to join my dance of life, Only to bring me backwards away from my goal.
And for this, I walk alone.
